Timestamps and anchoring
No ledger anchoring
Section titled “No ledger anchoring”The API does not anchor manifests, digests, or Merkle roots to any blockchain or public ledger, and it has no anchoring endpoints. Asset bytes and personal data are never written to a ledger.
Signing timestamps
Section titled “Signing timestamps”Signing records timestamp evidence with the signature. The signing section of an immutable
receipt (GET /v1/receipts/{receipt_id}) carries a
digest of that timestamp evidence next to the evidence and signature digests. Any timestamp
failure is reported as a reason code, not silently skipped. Examples are SIGNING_TIMESTAMP_FAILED,
and VALIDATION_TIMESTAMP_MISSING or VALIDATION_TIMESTAMP_UNTRUSTED during verification.
